OBITUARY: Jeff Gupton, 1970-2026

Jeff Gupton, 55, of Eureka, California, passed away on June 7, 2026. Born on September 21, 1970, in San Francisco, California, Jeff lived a life filled with creativity, passion, and love for his family and friends.

Jeff graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in 1988 and went on to attend the College of the Redwoods. He dedicated much of his professional life to Six Rivers Produce, the family business he worked at and eventually ran. His commitment to the business reflected his strong work ethic and dedication to supporting those around him.

A man of many talents and interests, Jeff was deeply passionate about tabletop gaming and role-playing games. He found joy in painting miniatures for these games as well as customizing Hot Wheels cars for the game Gaslands. His artistic flair extended beyond gaming; he shared his creative process through videos he posted on YouTube, inspiring others with his skill and imagination. Jeff also loved music and movies, often enjoying them with friends during regular game nights that brought people together in laughter and camaraderie.

Jeff’s creativity wasn’t limited to painting, he was an avid reader who also wrote stories and developed role-playing games. His intelligence and humor shone through in all that he did, endearing him to those fortunate enough to know him. Above all else, Jeff was known for his caring nature and selflessness; he consistently put others before himself.

Family was at the heart of Jeff’s life. He is survived by his loving wife Susany Gupton; his son Stephen Gupton; his daughter Ashley Arnett; and his sister Annamarie Gupton. He was predeceased by his parents Jim and Judi Gupton as well as his beloved daughters Lizzie and Lily Gupton. Jeff’s devotion to his family was unwavering, he was a wonderful father, husband, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.

Jeff’s legacy is one of kindness, creativity, and connection. Those who knew him will remember him not only for his talents but also for the warmth he brought into their lives. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.

A Viewing will be held on June 15, 2026, from 03:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Goble’s Fortuna Mortuary 560 12th Street, Fortuna, CA 95540. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.”
